    Richard's art survives a flood

Message received from MOnica Ross of Rust en Vrede Gallery, Durbanville - January 2009

    Hi Richard,

Want to congratulate you on your quality frames. Our house at the Breede river was flooded to the 2nd floor during the last flood in November 2008 and I lost all my artwork's. EXCEPT: Your lighthouse and one other oil which was found under the mud after the water had subsided. We hosed your painting down with a high pressure hose and it looks as if it has never seen a flood. The white is brilliant white and the frame is perfect. Quality! Thanks.

I attach a pic to show you my house IN the river - 4rd one from the right - roof showing behind the trees. Have a good one!

    Monica
